The Book Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18
, in the Beit Midrash to discuss Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. The novel follows the lives of two Jewish cousins, Czech artist Joe Kavalier and Brooklyn-born writer Sammy Clay, before, during, and after World War II as they become major figures in the comic book industry.
TJC's Book Club reads and discusses books of Jewish interest. The group meets usually on the third Tuesday of the month. All are invited to participate. Our discussions are lively and engaging, even for those who didn’t like or haven’t finished the book. A list of our previous selections, reflecting the types of books we read, is available on The Jewish Center’s website under Participate with Us/Our Committees/Book Club.
Multiple copies of our selections are available at the Princeton Public Library on the Book Club tables. The books can also be ordered through the TJC website at www.thejewishcenter.org
, where clicking on the Amazon link will earn a commission for TJC.
