About Us

The Jewish Center is proud of our innovative and award-winning Religious School program and curriculum.  Our program offers flexibility in course scheduling and selection, experiential learning opportunities, a professionalized teaching staff, and family educational opportunities.

Our school begins in pre-kindergarten and runs through high school.  The curriculum is designed to expose the students to material appropriate for their developmental age. Our faculty strives to bring a sense of commitment and love of Judaism when working with our youth each week.  We provide our staff with ongoing professional development opportunities and time to participate in weekly meetings to discuss lesson plans. Raising Jewish children who will choose to be Jewish adults is a joint venture between the home and the school.

We strongly encourage parents to take an active role in their children's Jewish education. Volunteering in the school, discussing the week's lessons, helping students arrive prepared for class, observing Shabbat and other holidays at home, and reading and discussing Jewish literature are some of the many ways parents can participate in their children's learning process. Attending services as a family on a regular basis enriches the family as well as supports the underlying spiritual message of our school.

It is our continued challenge to enable our young people to take the highest ideals of Judaism from the classroom out into the world. Together we work to achieve this lofty goal.
