Our Program

The school year is comprised of 3 trimesters (Fall, Winter and Spring) for all grades.  Each trimester is comprised of 10 weeks.

Grade Level Information
Our religious school program is divided into core age groups, with curricula and hours of instruction appropriate to each:
Gan Katan (Pre-Kindergarten)
Gan, Alef, and Bet (Grades K-2)
Gimmel – Vav (Grades 3-6)
Zayin (Grade 7)
Tichon – High School (Grades 8-12)
Gan Katan
Age:             Pre-K, 4-5 years old
Days:          One Sunday a month (Typically the 2nd Sunday)
Hours:        9:00 a.m. to Noon

Gan, Alef and Bet
Age:            Grades K-2
Days:          Sunday
Hours:        9:00 a.m to Noon
Optional Mechina: Wednesday 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Optional:  A Shabbat class (for Gan, Alef and Bet students) is offered ONLY in the Winter trimester, and may be taken in place of Sunday Religious School.
Gimmel and Vav
Age:            Grades 3-6
Days:          Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Shabbat
Hours:        Sunday          9:00 a.m. to Noon
                    Tuesday         4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
                    Wednesday   4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
                    Shabbat         9:45 a.m. to Noon
Students are expected to attend 2 days a week that can change each trimester, and must also choose Shabbat for one trimester.

Age:            Grade 7 (Pre-B’nai Mitzvah)
Days:          Sunday, Wednesday, Shabbat
Hours:        Sunday          9:00 a.m. to Noon
                    Wednesday   6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
                    Shabbat         9:45 a.m. to Noon
Zayin students are expected to attend Shabbat morning Torah class and the Main Service a minimum of 12 times per year.
Tichon -- High School
Age:           Grades 8-12
Days:         Wednesday
Hours:       6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
