The Gil Gordon Congregant of the Year Award recognizes extraordinary volunteer service to TJC.
The legacy of our beloved Gil Gordon (zikaron l’vracha) is one of commitment, menschkeit, leadership and exemplary service.
This year’s committee was chaired by Judi Fleitman, and it included Martha Friedman, Michael Goldin, Nancy Lewis, and Dana Molina.
In choosing this year’s recipient, the Committee, inspired by our award’s namesake, decided to think out of the box to pay tribute to exemplary service and, therefore, has unanimously chosen to award an entity rather than a single individual. This is the first time a group has been so honored.
This entity is made up of many dedicated individuals who have come together on many, many Friday mornings. Their collective efforts fortify The Jewish Center’s most core values – working towards the benefit of the TJC community while forging new relationships and strengthening their commitment to each other and the tasks at hand.
What would Shabbat morning services be without Kiddush to look forward to? Where would our Kiddush luncheons be without The Kiddush Krew?
Each week we look forward to delicious food, expertly prepared and presented.
It is with great pleasure we recognize the men and women of The Kiddush Krew collectively as “The Gil Gordon Congregant of the Year.”
On Friday, June 7, at Shabbat of Appreciation, the Kiddush Crew members were recognized for their commitment to The Jewish Center.
