The mission of Chavurat Chesed is to cultivate a caring and connected community at The Jewish Center by supporting members during life cycle moments and times of need.

The committee has been in existence in various forms for at least 15 years. It remains TJC’s “best kept secret.”  Currently, this work is carried out by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Chavurat Chesed matches TJC member volunteers with individuals and families in need of support in the following areas:

Meal Trains – Zvia Schoenberg & Judy Leopold

Friendly Visits – Lynne Ross & Jess Deutsch

Shiva Support – Mindy Langer & Roberta Sternthal

Caring Drivers – Seeking Co-Chairs
